2011 SF Street Food Festival Invitees Announced

The national invitees for the Third Annual San Francisco Street Food Festival, presented by La Cocina, have been announced. Taking place on August 20, the six vendors from across the United States are Big-Ass Sandwiches (Portland), Skillet Street Food (Seattle), Global Soul (Los Angeles), Schnitzel & Things the "Sainted" Arepa Lady (New York), Ingrid's Lunch Box (Madison.) and Along Came a Slider the Peached Tortilla (Austin).

The festival, which at seven blocks this year is two blocks larger than in 2010 and dwarfs the original 2009 one-block fair, will be followed on August 21-22 by the Second Annual National Street Food Conference, with panels focusing on such topics as the world's best street food, writing about street food, the evolution of American street food and vendor economics.
