Word comes via New York Street Food that Macy's will be bringing the "Macy's Chefs A-Go-Go" food truck tour to San Francisco later this summer.
The nine-city national tour of celebrity chefs, which starts today in Miami, is a showcase for Macy's Culinary Council, which features this impressive lineup of chefs: Rick Bayless, Michelle Bernstein, Cat Cora, Tom Douglas, Todd English, Marc Forgione, Emeril Lagasse, Marcus Samuelsson, Tim Scott, Nancy Silverton, Ming Tsai, Wolfgang Puck, Takashi Yagihashi, and others.
Chefs will be cooking seasonal recipes onstage and handing them out for free to the first 700 guests. San Francisco's featured chef will be Iron Chef America star Cat Cora. No word on if the Muppets will make a cameo.
While the event is free, the tour supports Feeding America's fight against hunger. Donations are encouraged. Besides the free food, there's a little something extra in it for social media fans. Like Macy's on Facebook or follow @macysevents on Twitter to receive a free tote bag when the truck stops in your town.
