You Can Still Get It With Lengua

While it is not specifically San Francisco street food news, we have to give a shout out to former SFoodie editor John Birdsall, who wants to make sure everyone remembers that Kogi wasn't the first food truck. Recuerden, the original food truck innovators spoke Spanish.

Not too long ago, the only place to get real street food from a truck was from loncheras, the Mexican taco trucks whose engines nowadays are getting lost in a chorus of new-fangled foie gras sliders and ahi grilled cheese. But to many people, the original is still the best, and it's a good idea to take a break from the new every once in a while and reacquaint yourself with the old.
