Off the Grid Empire Taking on PROXY and San Mateo

Off the Grid sure has been busy lately. With the first anniversary celebration, Berkeley launch and first theme night at McCoppin Hub barely behind it, the traveling street market that has been so influential to the adoption of food trucks by San Francisco is partnering with PROXY to bring food trucks to the Hayes Valley development.

We first mentioned back in June that the void left by the absence of Pizzeria Delfina and 4505 Meats was to be filled on a temporary basis by food trucks. According to the OtG newsletter, it now seems that Matt Cohen and company will be the ones to schedule the vendors, and it will be happening six days a week.

But wait, there's more! Tonight marks the soft launch off Off the Grid: San Mateo. Taking place next to the Caltrain station, the 11th regular chapter of the Off the Grid story will pair some San Francisco favorites with vendors from the South Bay. We feel a lot of love here.

The official opening for San Mateo is Monday, June 18, but you can catch the sneak peak from 5-9 PM tonight. See details on their Facebook event page.
